Founded in 1949, the “Estia Pyrgou Kallistis” Association was the first culture association to be established in Santorini. It has been active in all cultural sectors and has engaged in social action as well.

Pyrgos, capital of the former Kallisti Municipality until 1912, was a lively community, and the past continues to enrich the Association’s prolific activity.

Estia objectives include creating an association-owned foundation, organising and operating a lounge, establishing and operating a library and reading room for the public, organising lectures as well as art and entertainment events (such as theatre and dance shows, showing children’s movies, etc.), financing and awarding school students with outstanding records, organising fun and educational trips, and improve the Pyrgos District with infrastructure work.
