The procession of the Epitaph on Good Friday is a ceremony you will never forget. A few minutes before the Epitaph is taken from the church of the Virgin Mary out to the castle, the village’s children, which have already taken their place on the parapets and terraces, lit thousands of cans: they have placed them in the castle and around the settlement in the previous days. The sight is spectacular and visible from many spots around the island. This ceremony took place for the first time twenty years ago.
