1. The contest / basic terms of the competition
The contest is organized and sponsored by the Cultural Association «Estia Pyrgou Kallistis» (from now on mentioned as «Estia P.K.») who is inviting the visitors of Pyrgos village to make/take their own photos of the village during their stay, select the one they like the most, and enter it to the «Estia P.K.» photo contest 2014 witch is entitled «Visions of Pyrgos 2014».
Pyrgos is a traditional village on Santorini island, with beautiful spots, wonderful view all over the island and hospitable residents being sure that the contest will inspire you and help you emerge your talent!
«Estia P.K.» keeps the right to use the photos in the effort to create an album with the photos that have entered the contest in aiming to highlight Pyrgos beauty, in all printed and electronic local and international Media, mentioning the name of the photographer.
«Estia P.K.» invites all interested to enter its «Visions of Pyrgos 2014» Photo Contest. You must read the following rules, terms and legal conditions before submitting your photo.
We are especially interested in images that showcase and highlight the beauty of Pyrgos Village, taken at any spot of the village.
2. By entering the Competition you are deemed to accept these Rules, Terms and Conditions. If you are under 18 you must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter.
3. From the contest are excluded all members and the Management Board of the Cultural Association «Estia P.K.».
4. The «Estia P.K.» «Visions of Pyrgos 2014» opens for entries June 25th 2014, 00:001 and ends September 24th 2014, 23:59 local time. Entries received after this deadline will not be accepted. No responsibility is accepted for network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict or delay the sending of your entry. No responsibility is accepted by for «Estia P.K.» entries lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete or which cannot be entered for technical or other reasons. ( Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.)
5. Entry details / the voting terms
All interested in participating to the contest or to the voting procedure must «like» the official facebook page of the «Estia P.K.» at https://www.facebook.com/PyrgosSantoriniEstia

Each interested can participate the contest with as much candidate photos as he or she likes.
As a valid enter / participation counts any photo uploaded at https://www.facebook.com/PyrgosSantoriniEstia during the period from June 25th 2014, 00:001 to September 24th 2014, 23:59 local time.
During that period (June 25th to September 25th) all candidates after «liking» the page can upload their photo or photos, while the voting procedure will be open at the same period to all interested to «like» the candidate photos by choosing the option “vote” to the one or ones they like.
Each can vote as much photos as he or she likes, without being mandatory to vote other candidate’s photo. All candidates can ask for their friend to vote and support their candidacy.
6. Prizes and judging
The 5 winning images will the ones that will gather the most «likes» according to the facebook. The first 3 (tree) winners will be awarded with a free 2day stay on the island and the 4th and 5th winner will receive gifts. The Cultural Association «Estia P.K.» keeps the right to replace the gifts mentioned with others on the same value. The Cultural Association «Estia P.K.» assumes no responsibility for any legal or actual fault can appear on the prizes, according to the present terms. Details relating to any prizes will be sent to the winner within 30 days of the winner being announced.
7. Entering the contest – the winners
The winner / winners of the contest will be the ones their photos will collect the most «votes» in numerical order on the closing date, September 24th 2014. Entries, votes, or «likes» received after this deadline, that may be able to change the up to then result, will not be accepted. In case of a tie, the «Estia P.K.» will make an electronic draw for the winner on September 28th 2014, 15.00 local time.
8. Receiving the awards
The names of the winners will be published at https://www.facebook.com/PyrgosSantoriniEstia while the winners will be informed with a personal message in their facebook page by the organizers, the «Estia P.K.».
In case of inability to contact any of the winners or feedback from them in the next 15 (fifteen) days after the announcement of the results of contest , the winner / winners will lose any right on the prizes and the prizes will be given to the next runners up the contest, on the basis on the most voted candidacies.
Prizes are defined / selected by the «Estia P.K.» and cannot be exchanged with others or with money. Prizes are personal and cannot be transferred to other person. Prizes can be received by showing an I.D. or passport.
9. No responsibility is accepted for network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict or delay the sending of your entry. The «Visions of Pyrgos 2014» organized by the Cultural Association of Pyrgos is not supported or administrated by the www.facebook.com which has no responsibility or liability upon it.

11. Personal data
The acceptance of the terms and conditions of the «Visions of Pyrgos 2014» contest, implies the explicit and unconditional agreement to the «Estia P.K.» to announce for the specific reason the names of the participants and winners.
Entering the contest leads automatically to agree to the usage of specific copyright issues of the candidate photos.
By submitting images to the competition, you confirm and warrant that you are the sole author of each entry and that it is your original work, you own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of each image, you have the permission of those pictured in the image (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent or guardian) for the usage rights required in the section on licensing below and will indemnify «Estia P.K.» against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement, you have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the image that would conflict with uses to be made in the licensing section below
You agree to take part in any post-competition publicity. The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered in to the competition. You will retain full copyright for your image and wherever possible credited your image is published by «Estia P.K.»
12. Special terms and conditions / Copyright and usage
Photos uploaded should adjust the Greek relevant legislation, not being offensive, and should be on the subject («Visions of Pyrgos 2014») otherwise the organizer «Estia P.K» has the right to delete them without any notice.
All entries, whether taken digitally or on film, must be submitted at https://www.facebook.com/PyrgosSantoriniEstia . Scans from film or prints are acceptable. Entries will not be accepted by post or hand. Entries must be JPEG files of at least 1Mb in file size (maximum file size 5 Mb). Entries may be in black and white or in colour. Retouching / manipulation of digital images is accepted provided that all works are original works and not copies of other people’s works. You may not enter an image that has been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. Your image must be taken within the official boundaries of the Pyrgos, Santorini village. Your entry details must specify where the image was taken.
If you choose to include people in your submission, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals depicted, and must be able to provide copies of those releases to «Estia P.K.» upon request. Entrants must not submit images that involve human nudity, the willful harassment of wildlife, damage to the environment by the photographer, put any individual or animal in danger, or infringe on the rights of any other photographer or person.
Candidates must not submit any photographs that are obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or which otherwise violate any local or international laws. No nudity is allowed. Children and babies must be wearing at least a nappy and if your image does feature children you must have their parents’/guardian(s)’ legal consent for the image to be published online or in hard copy. The «Estia P.K.» will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not and whether it is eligible to be entered into the competition.
All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified. Multiple exposures that have been combined to produce a single “High Dynamic Range” image are acceptable. Images that do not meet these requirements may or may not be judged at the judging panel’s sole discretion.
Each participant gives / grants the right to the «Estia P.K.» to use the photo and the name of the photographer without any financial feedback for and under the terms and condition of the present contest.
It is strictly prohibited in any way modification or attempt to modify the terms of the present contest, notably with a view to amend or alter the results of the tender or influence by automated means or unfair the validity of the notice or determining the winner. If it turns out that an entrant has emerged victorious in violation of the terms hereof, by fraud, will not be awarded the gifts and automatically suspended from every right of possession, while the organizers, the «Estia P.K.» reserves the right to all right against such participant .
13. Reclination / change of terms
The «Estia P.K.» reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition, the rules and the terms and conditions of entry at any time and without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within these terms and conditions or in the competition details.
After the September 25th 2014, or the change of the final date, or the any change on the final date, all photos send to / for the contest will be considered invalid as well as being unable to bring any result to anyone or anything.

14. Applicable Law / jurisdiction
Presented terms and conditions are governed and supplemented by the Greek Low. Any difference or claim that may be come up in future, is under the authority of the Greek Low and the Greek Courts .
15. Acceptance of Terms . Participation in this competition implies full acceptance of these conditions of participation as a whole. Participants acknowledge and accept unreservedly that the services provided by the organizers «Estia P.K.» may be affected or interrupted temporarily due to network problems . Participation in the contest can receive changes or network disconnections that are totally dependent on the capabilities of both social networking website and existing technology upon which and which is beyond the control and responsibility of the «Estia P.K.» which assumes no responsibility for the above reasons . «Estia P.K.» accepts no liability whatsoever if for reasons outside the sphere of influence and control , taking holdings failed or delayed or , finally , whether the records kept by him destroyed , totally or partially .
